2002 was a special year for all who served during the Falklands War and their families. We have seen commemorative services all over the country which saw many people turn out who have never been to a reunion since the original 82 operation Corporate.

Sad News After A Wonderful Weekend in Gosport

The sad news came after a great weekend in Gosport that the Mayor, who had presided over what was a moving event, died in the early hours of Monday.

Mayor Bartlett, who was on Fieldhouse's staff during the Falklands, had only taken up office weeks prior to the event. He said it was a privilege to be part of this event and an honour. I say it was an honour to have had such a spokesman as Mayor for the 20th Anniversary.

And it was all for a GOOD CAUSE!
